I'm in India!

Sorry peeps. I've meant to say hi but I've been busy busy busy. I landed in Bangalore on Wednesday. What a nice city it is. It's quiet and clean and modern. Full of IT workers, more than anywhere I've ever been. Just a really pleasant place to be. I think it would be a really nice place to live.

I've now moved on to Gokarna. it's a little slice of paradise here. The countryside in the south is amazing. The India I saw in December (Delhi and Uttar Pradesh) was mayhem personified. I guess you expect it because that's where everyone lives. But the South! Oh my. It's clean and peaceful. The people are lovely and laid back and everything here just runs at a slower pace. The beaches are beautiful and the food is amazing...spicy flavour bombs! Oh, and the seafood is awesome too.

So, I've been bopping around on the scooter I've hired and seeing the area. rolling through the forest is just beautiful. I think I look like Peter Fonda in Easy Rider.

Today, I'm on a rest day. The heat and the rushing around has left me feeling absolutely exhausted and my heart has kind of decided to give up the ghost for a while. By yesterday evening, I could only manage to walk about 50 steps before running out of puff. Anyway a night lying on top on the sheets under the fan has helped. I'm going to retreat to the cool of my hut today and just relax. Right as rain tomorrow, na?
